Aprilli Design Studio is a Toronto-based design firm specializing in the research, design, and implementation of sustainable strategies for urban planning and development. Our work aims to enhance the quality of human life, society, and the surrounding environment. As design consultants, we are deeply interested in social transformations driven by emerging technologies in areas such as transportation, energy, food production, and environmental sustainability.

I Designer

Steve Lee AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Steve is the founder and principal at Aprilli Design Studio, primarily focusing on architectural design projects and future technology-related research initiatives. He is a licensed architect in California and Ontario, with over 8 years of professional experience in Seoul, New York, Boston, and Los Angeles prior to founding Aprilli Design Studio. As principal in charge, he oversees design development and project realization through all phases, including architectural design and product design. Steve has a deep interest in creating innovative objects, spaces, and atmospheric conditions that enhance the quality of living environments aesthetically, socially, and functionally.

Before founding Aprilli Design Studio, he worked at architectural firms such as Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, RTKL Associates, and Koetter Kim Associates, focusing on international high-rise, mixed-use, and hospitality projects in various countries. Steve earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from Yonsei University in 2002 and his Master of Architecture degree from Yale University in 2007.

Since 2014, he has been a lecturer at various universities, including the UCLA March II program 'Suprastudio' and California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
