Aprilli Design Studio is a Toronto-based design studio focusing on research, design and implementation of sustainable design and planning strategies which improve the quality of human life, society and surrounding environments. As design consultants, we have deep interest in social transformations based on future technologies related to transportation, energy, food issues and environmental sustainability.
The studio explores new ideas and solutions based on advanced technologies and recent design trends including autonomous driving technology, digital fabrication, big data and interactive design. Aprilli Design Studios progressive design projects have been introduced extensively throughout international media including CNN, BBC, USA Today, Forbes, Yahoo Finance and has received numerous design awards including Radical Innovation Awards and A+ Design Awards.
We are currently collaborating with global corporations and institutions on R&D research projects related to 4th industrial revolution. With our branch office in Seoul, our project scope ranges from design consulting to architectural design, planning and realization with a specialty in future technology and sustainability.

STEVE LEE I AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Steve is the founder and lead designer at Aprilli Design Studio, mostly focusing on architectural design projects and future technology-related research projects. He is a licensed architect in California and Ontario with 8+ years of working experience in Seoul, New York and Los Angeles prior to opening Aprilli Design Studio. As principal in charge, he focuses on design development and project actualization through all phases of projects including architectural design and product design. Steve has deep interest in creating innovative objects, spaces and atmospheric conditions which aesthetically, socially and functionally enhance the quality of living environments.
Prior to founding Aprilli Design Studio, he has worked at architectural design firms such as Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, RTKL Associates and Koetter Kim Associates focusing on international high rise, mixed use and hospitality projects in various countries. Steve has received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from Yonsei University in 2002 and Master in Architecture degree from Yale University in 2007.
Since 2014, he has been a lecturer at various universities including UCLA March II program “Suprastudio” and California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
